Islamic State claims death of eight government soldiers in Metuge

In Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado province, a surge in insurgent attacks by the Islamic State is exacerbating a multifaceted crisis. Recent reports indicate escalating violence with claims of eight government forces’ deaths, civilian beheadings, and the destruction of military assets.
